Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Estimator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll lead the estimating process for construction projects, making sure every bid is accurate, competitive, and on time. We're looking for someone with sharp project management skills, solid estimating knowledge, and the confidence to negotiate with stakeholders at every level.

Duties

Coordinate the preparation of estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Utilize software tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create detailed cost estimates and proposals. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to gather necessary information for accurate pricing. Build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and negotiate terms. Review plans and specifications to identify potential issues or discrepancies that may impact costs. Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and communications throughout the bidding process. Assist in the development of project schedules and timelines as needed. Participate in project meetings to provide updates on estimating progress and address any concerns.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is highly desirable. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Familiarity with project management principles is a plus. A background in construction or engineering is beneficial but not mandatory.
