Metalworks Institute is the educational branch of The Metalworks Group, we are a sister company to the world-famous Metalworks Studios (recording studio) and Metalworks Production Group (live event production) and emerging tech start-up SoundsUnite (app-based music education). Metalworks has been a pillar of the Canadian music scene for almost 50 years.

As the Lead Engagement Coordinator, you will be part of the Marketing Team, supporting our mission to connect with and inspire the next generation of music industry professionals. In this new role, you will reach out to prospective students and leads, helping to pre-qualify their interest in music and guiding them toward the right next step in their journey. You will represent Metalworks with professionalism and enthusiasm, ensuring every interaction leaves a positive impression.

This is a part-time or full-time contract position, with the potential to grow into a permanent role if there is a demonstrated fit and need. We are looking for someone personable, confident, and adaptable--comfortable following structured processes while also bringing creativity to conversations. Our Lead Engagement Coordinator should be proactive, organized, and excited to contribute to a collaborative team environment that thrives on making meaningful connections.

Skills/Competencies/Dispositions we're looking for in a candidate:

Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in sales, customer service, call centre, community outreach, student recruitment, events coordination, or comparable Self-motivated, ethical, and dependable with exceptional interpersonal skills Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to connect authentically with prospective students and families Comfortable making outbound calls, sending emails, and engaging with leads in a professional and personable manner Ability to actively listen, ask insightful questions, and gauge interest in music and creative career pathways Strong organizational skills with the ability to track conversations, follow up consistently, and manage multiple leads at different stages Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a collaborative Marketing team environment Positive, resilient, and adaptable to shifting priorities and new strategies during the natural cadence of the recruitment cycle Proficient with Microsoft Office 365; experience with CRM or lead management tools is an asset
Ability to work afternoon, evenings and weekends as required.
