Job Description


Our Banking client in MISSISSAUGA , Ontario is looking to hire a Lead Compensation Administrator for a 6-months contract role with possibility for extension.

What you will be doing\xe2\x80\xa6

  • Deliver operational support for the VCSS functional teams to ensure accurate and timely administration of compensation and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate payee hierarchy and employee profile information.
  • Support regular and ad-hoc reporting and analytics.
  • Provide quality assurance and controls for compensation payments submitted to HR Payroll processing.
  • Update and maintain VCSS job-aids, policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Identify, track, and resolve business systems issues - investigation, impact, and root cause analysis - while seeking to add preventative measures for identified issues going forward.
  • Support and/or lead user acceptance testing and implementation of variable compensation applications
  • Proactively identify areas of risk and implement appropriate quality controls and Business Continuity Management practices.
  • Prioritize tasks based on need and impact and collaborate with peers to ensure requirements and SLAs are met during busy periods.
  • Streamline and standardize processes and ensure continuous improvement in accordance with the simpler, faster, better model across VCSS.
  • Provide project and initiative execution support to various business partners to deliver key strategic and transformational objectives.
  • Inputting payroll data from time sheets, production records, or individual attendance records into a computerized payroll system.
  • Recording changes affecting net wages, such as exemptions, insurance coverage, and loan payments, for each employee.
  • Monitoring the balance of payroll runs and any changes in legal requirements including minimum wage, the local tax rate, and related federal and state regulations.
  • Answering employee questions and troubleshooting issues related to payroll.

Must have Skills:
  • Ability to build effective relationships and strong client service orientation.
  • Experience with escalation protocols as well as issue resolution
  • Solid multi-tasking capabilities and organization skills
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Access
