We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead to oversee and coordinate various construction, carpentry, and restoration projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in multiple trades, including framing, drywall, roofing, and finishing work. This leadership role requires excellent technical skills, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and experience managing teams on-site to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards. The Lead will play a vital role in guiding crew members, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining adherence to safety protocols across diverse construction environments.
Responsibilities
Supervise and lead construction crews during projects such as framing, drywall installation, roofing, siding, flooring, tile laying, and cabinetry.
Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and fabrication equipment to complete tasks accurately.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of project specifications.
Coordinate material procurement and manage inventory for construction sites including rebar installation, concrete forming, plastering, stucco application, and masonry work.
Ensure safety standards are maintained at all times by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular site inspections.
Perform heavy lifting as needed for material handling and assist with complex tasks such as water damage restoration, mold remediation, electrical wiring, plumbing installations, and metal stud framing.
Provide mentorship and training to team members on specialized skills such as fixture installation, door hanging, remodeling techniques, cabinetry work, restoration processes--including water damage--and other carpentry or construction tasks.
Communicate effectively with clients and project managers to update progress and resolve any onsite issues promptly.
Experience
Proven experience in the restoration industry or general construction environment with a focus on carpentry or remodeling projects.
Extensive knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret blueprints and schematics accurately.
Hands-on experience with a variety of tools including hand tools, power tools, CNC machines, scaffolding systems, and fabrication equipment.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams on complex projects involving framing (wood or metal), drywall installation (including plastering), roofing (including shingles or metal roofing), siding (vinyl or fiber cement), flooring (tile or hardwood), tile laying, electrical wiring, plumbing systems, masonry work (concrete blocks or bricks), and fixture installation.
Familiarity with water damage restoration techniques such as mold remediation and structural drying is preferred.
Strong background in safety compliance across construction sites with knowledge of OSHA standards or equivalent safety regulations.
