As the Lead Carpenter, you will oversee and manage a team of carpenters and skilled labourers on various commercial construction projects, ensuring all work meets the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a team of carpenters and skilled labourers Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements Plan, organise, and execute projects to meet the required specifications and timelines Ensure all work is performed according to safety regulations Perform hands-on carpentry work, including construction and finishing carpentry tasks Inspect work to ensure quality and accuracy Coordinate with other trades and subcontractors as necessary Provide training and mentorship to team members Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during construction
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a carpenter or similar role, preferably in commercial projects Red Seal accreditation considered a strong asset Valid G driver's licence Extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools
