About the Role
As the next
Lead Business Analyst
to join our Planning, Assurance, Insights & Delivery team. You'll lead the business analysis efforts for projects, which includes researching and analyzing improvement opportunities, gathering and documenting requirements, performing gap analysis, and preparing recommendations. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders and project teams to ensure successful delivery. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and exceptional business analysis capabilities to this role.

Accountabilities Lead the full business analysis lifecycle for technically complex solutions.
Elicit and document requirements from diverse stakeholders using workshops, interviews, and surveys.
Analyze current state (As-Is) processes, conducting gap analysis to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement.
Create process flows, data models, and detailed artifacts to document business processes and system needs.
Translate high-level business needs into actionable, detailed functional specifications and technical requirements.
Develop and refine use cases and user stories that clearly capture all functional needs of the system.
Identify and document critical non-functional requirements (e.g., performance, security, scalability).
Develop and maintain a comprehensive Requirements Traceability Matrix to ensure all requirements are tracked and accounted for.
Serve as the liaison between the business, Product Management, UX, Architecture, and Development teams.
Facilitate backlog grooming and refinement sessions to ensure user stories are well-defined, estimated, and ready for development.
Actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives).
Ensure requirements documentation is structured to enable automated testing.
Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities to validate that the final system aligns with documented business requirements.
Mentor other Business Analysts on industry best-in-class methodologies and approaches.
Help lead the Business Analysts Practice by driving standards implementation, best practices training, and conducting peer reviews of project artifacts.
Lead other Business Analysts on project teams, as necessary, to ensure high-quality deliverables and project success.
Skills, Experience & Requirements Comprehensive understanding of business analysis principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Expertly navigates and negotiates complex stakeholder needs and competing priorities, employing diplomacy and skilled escalation management to achieve optimal outcomes.
Experience documenting complex technical APIs, system integrations, and data flows.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address potential risks and challenges proactively.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environments.
Experience working with hybrid/Agile development methodologies and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
Proficiency in requirements management and documentation tools (e.g., Jira and Confluence).
The following are considered assets:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field.
IIBA certification (AAC, ECBA, CCBA, CBAP).
5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, preferably in the banking industry or with a Fintech.
Experience or understanding of Salesforce (Cloud-based) CRM system.
Experience or understanding of SAP Business Technology Platform.
Understanding of Product Management.
Understanding of Organizational Change Management.
Experience in facilitating backlog grooming and refinement sessions.
