As Lead Auditor, Internal Audit & Financial Certification, you will play an expert role with the organization's business lines, guiding their thinking by formulating recommendations aimed at increasing profitability, optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, and minimizing business risks. Your understanding of business issues will enable you to provide advice that will help maintain effective risk management and assist in the resolution of emerging issues.

Responsibilities




Plan and manage the execution of assigned mandates by developing audit strategies and procedures that take into account the magnitude of risks inherent in the Bank's business processes, operations and major projects. Apply audit techniques and procedures in accordance with industry best practices. Define priorities in order to respect budgets and identify solutions to problems likely to result in overruns. Work as part of a team with internal auditors with different areas of expertise on integrated process mandates. Write the audit report and present it to management. Guide others on internal control management. Has extensive experience of adequate controls to manage a variety of risks. Enables the company to become more aware of controls. Supervises and reviews the work of peers. Good understanding of business risks and appropriate control measures. Understand the most advanced theoretical concepts and best practice requirements underpinning corporate governance. Challenges processes and practices to reflect external governance best practice. Actively respects and advocates the methodology, requiring little guidance.

Qualifications




Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (majoring in Finance, Accounting or Risk Management) or Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. Relevant recognized professional designation (CPA, CISA or CIA), an asset. Minimum 10 years' experience in Internal Audit, Internal Control and/or External Audit (in a firm). Good knowledge of Regulation 52-109 Good knowledge of industry standards and COSO/COBIT guidelines. Experience in business process review and improvement. Leadership skills and ability to effectively influence others to achieve objectives. Autonomy, ability to manage priorities and openness to change. Ability to work under pressure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English


Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages.
