Job Summary


Shaw McLellan is a respected and growing law firm, seeking a talented and motivated Solicitor (1 - 3 year post call experience) to join our team. In this role, you will provide thoughtful, practical, and client-focused legal advice across a range of matters. You will work with clients of varying legal knowledge, translating complex legal concepts into clear guidance that supports informed decision-making.

This role offers meaningful client exposure, hands on file experience and the opportunity to work across various files dealing with wills & estates, real estate and corporate. What you will do:



Provide clear, strategic legal advice to clients on a variety of legal matters, ensuring they understand their rights, obligations, and options. Prepare, draft, and review legal documents including contracts, wills, estate planning documents, corporate minute books, shareholder agreements, and other transactional materials. Represent and advocate for clients during negotiations related to business, real estate, and other legal matters with professionalism and confidence. Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support accurate, current, and well-reasoned advice. Manage files end to end, ensuring deadlines are met and matters are handled efficiently and professionally, with appropriate support from senior lawyers and administrative staff. Maintain compliance with Law Society of Ontario (LSO) regulations and firm operational standards.
