POSITION: LAW CLERK/ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANTNK Lawyers is a growing immigration and real estate practice. The practice spans all areas of immigration and refugee law, including economic and refugee appeals. In terms of real estate we do residential purchase and sale, and mortgage refinance. We are seeking an outstanding professional to join our team and to build a long-term career. This individual must be an experienced Canadian immigration professional who prides themselves on professionalism, customer service, and excellent quality work. Responsibilities:Case management:
Collecting necessary information and documentation from clients
Preparing submission packages for both basic and complex submissions and sending to various government agencies
Respond to client inquiries by e-mail/telephone in a timely manner throughout the duration of their file, keeping them informed of all updates and providing copies of relevant communications
Perform various administrative duties including organizing and managing files and tracking important dates
Researching the processes and requirements for different types of applications/categories including refugee claims, PRRA, H&C, family sponsorship, IRB, work permits, economic applications and Federal Court
Communicate with government officials, as needed, to follow up on case files
Drafting correspondences and submitting applications
Some financial duties
Qualifications and Skills:Minimum of 1 year\xe2\x80\x99s previous experience in immigration law, new graduates are welcome to apply
Excellent research and analytical skills, good judgment, organizational skills and high attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills, oral and written communication skills both interpersonal and with clients, government officials, etc.
Strong attention to detail
Ability to multi-task, complete tasks efficiently and without delay and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Strong organizational and computer skills

Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, with minimal supervision and as part of a team
Experience with Microsoft Office, PCLaw software and Adobe DC
Education: Completion of diploma or certificate as an Law Clerk or Paralegal or Immigration Consultant or equivalent training in immigration law and policy
