Reports to: Senior Sous Chef/ Sous Chef
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Status: Full-Time
Join our team at Toronto's one of a kind landmark venue sitting 16 stories above the city, the
luxurious space features a picture-perfect lounge bar, dining room, outdoor pool and cabanas.
This is a fast-paced hospitality venue and we are seeking someone who learns quickly,
independently and can provide a great customer experience. Our ideal candidates are
enthusiastic individuals that possess elevated hospitality experience.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Follow and complete daily prep lists made by Chefs Basic cooking duties such as preparing sauces, chopping vegetables, meat, herbs, etc. Follow the first in first out (FIFO) method to maximize freshness - label and store food
properly
Manage new shipments of food and organize all orders as they arrive Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and all storage areas Cook designated dishes based on area you are in the kitchen Be very vigilant on quality control of prepared dishes Maintain a clean and organized workstation with proper sanitation Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in hospitality and cooking in a fast-paced restaurant Must obtain Food Handlers Certificate Understand professional cooking and knife handling skills Able to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines Comply with Health and Safety Guidelines Minimum requirement to lift 10lbs and stand on your feet for nearly the whole shift * Available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
