About the Role :

Centre Town Coin Laundry is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join new branch in Ottawa. The Laundry Attendant will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and other fabric items are cleaned, dried, folded, and stored efficiently and according to established standards in our facility.

Responsibilities:

Sort all soiled laundry items by type, color, and fabric to ensure proper washing procedures. Operate and maintain commercial washing, drying, and pressing equipment safely and effectively. Load and unload laundry machines, ensuring correct water temperatures, detergents, and cycles are used. Monitor laundry for stains, damage, or wear and report issues to management. Fold, iron, and organize clean laundry neatly and efficiently for storage or distribution. Maintain accurate inventory of laundry supplies and report needs to supervisor. Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures. Keep the laundry area clean, organized, and free of hazards. Assist with other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a laundry, hospitality, or similar environment is an asset but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate. Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift, push, and pull up to [e.g., 25-50 lbs] regularly. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
