Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves various tasks related to maintaining and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of gardens, lawns, and other outdoor spaces. The Landscape Technician will be responsible for ensuring that landscapes are healthy, attractive, and well-maintained.

Duties

Perform regular landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to maintain gardens and landscapes. Build and install landscape features such as flower beds, pathways, and retaining walls. Irrigate plants and lawns using appropriate techniques to ensure optimal growth. Dig holes for planting trees, shrubs, and flowers while adhering to best practices. Maintain equipment by performing routine checks and minor repairs as needed. Collaborate with team members to execute landscaping projects efficiently. Monitor plant health and identify any issues related to pests or diseases.

Skills

Proficient in using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and shears. Strong mechanical knowledge for operating and maintaining power tools like lawn mowers, blowers, and trimmers. Experience in landscape maintenance practices including planting, pruning, and fertilizing. Ability to build landscape structures with attention to detail and quality craftsmanship. Knowledge of irrigation systems and techniques for effective water management. Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions. Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges that arise during landscaping tasks.
