Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Landscaper/Equipment Operator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery and be willing to work on the ground as a construction/landscaping labourer as needed. They will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is operated safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, as well as an eye for detail. We are ideally looking for someone who has pride in their work and is looking to grow with our company.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, excavators, truck/dump trailer for various construction and landscaping projects. Assist with pipework and grading for drainage projects and septic systems Assist on the ground with hardscaping and landscaping projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

3+ years experience in heavy equipment operation. Valid Class 5 driving license is necessary, endorsement 15 ideal. Basic understanding of construction processes and safety regulations. Septic system installation experience is preferred. 3+ years experience in hardscaping and/or landscaping Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks. Willingness to learn new skills related to equipment operation and maintenance.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual, Seasonal

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
