Job Description

We are a private, family-owned facility located just south of Calgary, dedicated to providing high-quality care for our horses, and are looking for a Full-Time Handyman / Equipment Operator. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM with some potential weekend work; and reduced winter hours approx. 30/week.

This role involves a variety of general maintenance tasks, equipment
operation, and landscaping work on a well-maintained, high-end rural
property. You must be comfortable around horses (although direct
handling is not required).

Key Responsibilities:

General handyman duties on a luxury farm property (e.g., fence
repairs, property upkeep, light carpentry)

Operating light to medium-duty equipment (e.g., skid steers, tractors, mowers)

Landscaping and grounds maintenance (e.g., planting, mulching,
grading, irrigation, lawn care)

Assisting with seasonal work such as snow removal or cleanup

Supporting outdoor property improvement projects as needed

Qualifications:

Proven experience in landscaping and general handyman work

Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract (required)

Must be comfortable working around horses (no horse care required)

Must be drug-free, smoke-free, and dependable

Able to work independently and take initiative

Experience with rural/agricultural properties is an asset

Mechanical or irrigation knowledge is a bonus

Compensation:

$18-$21/hour depending on skills and experience

Tools and equipment are provided

Housing is not included

Additional Details:

Core schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Occasional Saturday/Sunday work may be required based on workload

Winter hours may decrease to approximately 30 hours/week
