Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and creative Landscape Designer & Estimator to join our team. This role blends the creative landscape design with detailed estimating, helping bring client visions to life and setting up projects for success from concept through construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing innovative outdoor space concepts, translating client visions into detailed plans. The estimator is expected to evaluate outdoor projects by calculating material costs, labour, and timelines, creating accurate quotes for services like landscaping, hardscaping, and maintenance based on site conditions and client needs.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, site assessments and budget constraints for landscape projects Create functional and beautiful landscape designs that meet client needs and site conditions Use software and other design tools to develop accurate visualizations and technical drawings Present design concepts to clients and incorporate feedback into final plans Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other professionals during project implementation Ensure designs adhere to local regulations, environmental standards, and safety guidelines Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for landscape construction projects Use design drawings and industry knowledge to produce material, labour and equipment take offs Collaborate with sales and operations team to ensure profitable pricing and clear proposal packages Assist with constructability clarification during builds and contribute to change-order pricing when designs evolve

Experience

Proven experience in landscape design and estimating (design/build experience preferred) Knowledge of landscape materials and installation techniques Excellent communication skills for client presentations and team collaboration Organized, proactive and take pride in your work A degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or a related discipline is preferred but not required depending on experience level Have experience with LMN software or similar estimating tools (training support available)

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
