Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Landscape Designer & Estimator to join our team. The role blends creative landscape design with detailed estimating, helping bring client visions to life and setting up projects for success from concept through construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing innovative landscape designs that enhance outdoor spaces, combining aesthetic appeal with functional and sustainable solutions. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential gardens to commercial landscapes, contributing to transforming outdoor environments into beautiful and practical spaces.

Duties

Landscape Design

Participate in design consultations and client interactions.

Estimating & Proposal Development

Prepare accurate, competitive estimates for landscape construction projects. Use design drawings and industry knowledge to produce material, labor, and equipment takeoffs. Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure profitable pricing and clear proposal packages.

Project Support

Provide design and estimate documentation for handoff to the Project Manager and field teams. Assist with constructability clarification during builds and contribute to change-order pricing when designs evolve. Create functional, beautiful landscape designs that meet client needs, site conditions, and budgets. Produce plan drawings, visuals, and design documents suitable for construction. Create detailed landscape design plans using CAD software and hand sketches Develop conceptual designs, planting plans, and material specifications Present design proposals to clients and incorporate feedback effectively Select appropriate plants, materials, and features that align with environmental sustainability and client preferences Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other professionals to ensure design implementation aligns with plans Conduct site visits during project phases to monitor progress and ensure quality standards are met Stay updated on current trends in landscape architecture, horticulture, and sustainable design practices

Requirements

Proven experience in landscape design or related field; portfolio of previous work preferred Proficiency in CAD software, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools Strong understanding of horticulture, plant selection, environmental sustainability, and construction processes Excellent communication skills for client presentations and team collaboration Ability to interpret client needs into innovative landscape solutions Degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, Horticulture, or a related discipline is preferred Creative mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
