to join our construction team. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge of hardscape installation, especially with pavers and slabs. The ideal candidate can independently or collaboratively complete paver installations from start to finish using site drawings and plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Valid driver's licence and ability to drive a truck (non-negotiable)
Interpret site plans and construction drawings to complete paving areas independently or with a small team
Screed bedding material accurately for paver installation
Grade and level sub-base and final surfaces to ensure proper drainage and finish
Cut pavers with precision using saws, guillotines, and grinders
Install concrete pavers and slabs to line, pattern, and elevation specifications
Compact pavers using plate compactors and apply jointing sand
Ensure alignment, slope, and spacing meets project and industry standards
Assist with concrete forming and other hardscape installation as needed
Maintain clean and safe job sites at all times
Communicate clearly with site foremen and office staff for scheduling and updates
Use mobile apps or technology tools to upload photos, log activities, and track progress
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in hardscape construction, with a focus on paver installation
Proficient in cutting techniques (wet saw, quick cut, guillotine) and material handling
Solid understanding of grading, compaction, and drainage principles
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and layouts
Excellent time management and communication skills
Comfortable working independently or leading a crew of 1-3
Valid driver's licence and ability to drive a truck
Comfortable using mobile apps, email, and basic online tools
