We are looking for a dynamic and

experienced Foreman/Lead Hand

to join our team immediately. Experience in the following scopes:

Grading/Earthworks (Civil) Underground (Civil) Hardscape Base Landscape Concrete Removals Labourer

Be able to multi-task with changing day-to-day needs. And specialize in communicating well with everyone on your team, from Labourers to Managers, leading by example and inspiring a strong safety culture.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Being hands-on in field construction directly involved in all aspects of project construction including planning, construction, quantity verification, and safety. Communicating to the project Superintendent upcoming needs for the project including materials, manpower and equipment. Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans. Supervise the use of machinery and equipment. Ensures that all work is being done safely and in an efficient manner that maintains Wilco's excellent quality. Ensure subcontractors compliance with specifications and timelines for their scope of work. Responsible for training staff according to Wilco procedures and safe work practices. Working with the Recruitment team, identify and provide continuous feedback to ensure manpower and resources are adequate.

Requirements

Proven experience as construction foreman, civil preferred. Demonstrable leadership skills. Solid understanding of equipment operation. Strong numeracy skills, record keeping and technology usage. Ability to read and execute plans, read grade stakes and use laser level. Work unsupervised with a 3-5 person crew. Have advanced knowledge of the fundamental principals of landscaping including grading, planting and hardscape. Valid drivers license.
