The Landowner Liaison is responsible for establishing and maintaining good relationships with property owners, municipalities, and other interested parties that the company deals with to carry out business in a safe and efficient manner. The Landowner Liaison obtains approvals or acknowledgements from property owners and other governing authorities so that the pipeline operations may continue safely, protecting the public and the environment. The position is based in the Montreal and Eastern Ontario region and requires occasional out of town travel.

A typical day:

Prepare and obtain of Temporary Workspace and Access Agreements and/or Permits to enable the companies maintenance and construction activities

Negotiate settlements for temporary workspace, access, crop losses and damages with landowners and tenants to settle claims or close off files from construction execution
/li

li
Act as liaison between project and operations staff and Third-Party Stakeholders
/li

li
Proactively responds to third-party stakeholders\' enquiries pertaining to pipeline operations to establish positive and collaborative relationshipsProactively responds to third-party stakeholders\' enquiries pertaining to pipeline operations to establish positive and collaborative relationships
/li

li
Collaboratively engage with multiple business units to provide land and damage prevention related support, balancing multiple competing priorities.
/li

li
Responsible for stakeholder notifications for pipeline activities and executes Public Awareness activities as required
/li

li
Responsible for the documentation and support for land issues, mitigation of any environmental or other potential impacts
/li

li
Coordinates various activities such as site screening, brush clearing, tree removal, and other obstacles to ensure that locations are ready for construction execution
/li

Successful candidates will have:

Fully bilingual in French and English written and oral
/li

li
Bachelor\'s degree in geography, GIS, real estate or business-related discipline or related field experience is preferred. Professional designation from International Right of Way (IRWA) or equivalent will be considered an asset
/li

li
Valid Driver\'s License with clean driving record is required
/li

li
Understanding of legal issues related to land acquisition and easements for pipeline operations required
/li

li
Strong knowledge of applicable Laws and Regulations including Canadian Energy Regulator Act and Damage Prevention Regulations
/li

li
Proven conflict resolution, planning, problem solving, decision making and negotiating skills including the ability to influence in sensitive situations required
/li

li
Preferred Working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations including Canadian Energy Regulator Act, Damage Prevention Regulations, and CSA Z662
/li

li
5+ years of relevant experience
