Land Surveying Assistant

Job Description

As a Survey Assistant, you will work closely with one of our Survey Crew Supervisors on a range of municipal surveying projects. Our work includes construction projects, subdivisions, right of ways, topographic surveys, and much more.

Responsibilities:


- Organizing and maintaining survey equipment and vehicles
- Setting up and operating survey equipment
- Searching for and digging for survey evidence
- Placement of survey monuments with a sledge hammer or jackhammer
- Layout of survey points using total station or GPS equipment
- Other duties as required

Qualifications:


- ENTRY LEVEL POSITION - Experience in survey is an asset but not required
- Reliable transportation to our office every work day. We are located just outside the city limits with no access to transit.
- Love of the outdoors - All work is outside in all weather conditions
- Physically fit - Work involves walking, lifting, carrying, digging, and hammering for extended periods
- Positive attitude, excellent team player, and enthusiasm to learn skills and tasks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 55 per week
