As a Land Development Coordinator, you will play a key role in advancing residential and commercial development projects through various stages of the development lifecycle. You will work closely with internal teams and external consultants to manage planning approvals, support design coordination, and contribute to the strategic execution of development initiatives. A strong foundation in site planning, urban design, and municipal planning processes is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the preparation of site plans, conceptual designs, and planning reports in coordination with consultants and internal teams.
Manage components of the development approvals process, including Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments, Draft Plans of Subdivision, and Site Plan Control Applications.
Collaborate with planning consultants, engineers, architects, and municipal staff to resolve design, policy, and technical issues.
Assist in the preparation and coordination of presentations to municipal staff, committees, stakeholders, and the public.
Maintain project schedules and budgets for soft costs; track deliverables and ensure timely submission of planning applications and supporting materials.
Contribute to early-stage development feasibility analysis, market research, and site evaluation.
Support internal decision-making by providing well-organized summaries, reports, and visuals for active and potential development projects.
Attend municipal meetings and public engagement sessions as a company representative.
Support consultant procurement and manage scopes of work for planning and design professionals.
Maintain up-to-date project files, approval documentation, and correspondence for all active developments.
Contribute to internal process improvements, template development, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
