OVERVIEW

Vertex is currently accepting applications for one full-time Land Agent for our office in Regina, Saskatchewan. The successful candidate must be detail orientated and focused on the best outcomes for client representatives. Strong negotiation, problem solving, and reporting skills will ensure success in this role. The role reports directly to General Manager, Land & Approvals.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS


  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree or agricultural background a strong asset
  • A valid Saskatchewan Commissioners for Oaths Appointment considered an asset
  • A willingness to work in the field for extended periods of time; willingness to travel within Western Canada as required
  • Competent computer skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acquire subsurface and surface rights for a wide range of projects including but not limited to oil and gas, mining, utilities, telecommunications and government clientele
  • Liaise with landowners, industry stakeholders, and client representatives
  • Negotiate and complete damage assessments, rent reviews and temporary use agreements
  • Keep informed on trends and items of interest relating to all aspects of land including but not limited to compensation, landowner concerns, and industry developments
  • Draft professional land documentation and various forms of contracts
  • Assure quality control of all documentation and deliverables
  • Maintain information and tracking systems
  • Execute site selection, negotiations and acquisitions for telecommunications clients
  • Work with project managers, land administrators and clients as required

LOCATION
  • This position will be based out of our Regina, Saskatchewan office.
