Labourers assist skilled trades people and perform labour activities at our various construction and project sites.

PROJECT DETAILS
Project Name: Mount Bracey Compressor Station
Nearest City: Prince George, B.C (Camp Project)
Shift: 14 Days on/7 Days off
Travel pay: $400/shift
Camp retention: $25/day
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Identify and report hazards or unsafe work practices
Assist with installation, testing and rigging of pipe spools and materials
Clean construction work areas and fuel equipment as needed
Work with equipment operators and civil crews to complete grade and excavation work
Assist heavy equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in safely moving equipment and aid in other activities
Perform other activities as directed
Participate in pre-job toolbox meetings to identify potential hazards and measures to eliminate or minimize them
Return tools back to the proper area after the job is complete or at the end of the shift
Ensure the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment while performing tasks
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
Able to lift 50 pounds
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
Follow verbal directions
Safety Tickets Required
CSTS 2020 or Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
Bear or Wildlife Awareness course
Standard First Aid CPR-C & AED (St. John Ambulance or Canadian Red Cross) or WorkSafe BC Occupational First Aid Level 1 (OFA 1) Training Certificate
WHIMIS 2015 (Strike can provide when onboarding)
Transportation of Dangerous Goods - TDG (Strike can provide when onboarding)
Additional Training may be required if you will be working at heights, - Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform Training
Telehandler training is required if you will be operating equipment
