The Labour Relations Manager is responsible for all strategic and transactional labour relations activities at FCA Brampton\'s 3,000 employee, multi-shift vehicle assembly plant.
Specific duties include: Administering the consistent application of the collective agreements which cover diverse groups of employees including production, skilled trades, engineering and administration Leading local negotiations Providing guidance and counseling operating management on LR matters Administering the grievance process Managing the plant attendance procedure and drive continuous improvement Conducting and reviewing workplace investigations Managing a team of labour relations practitioners, including selection, development, coaching, performance management, and all other people management practices Developing and maintaining relationships with local union leadership stakeholders Overseeing the Return to Work and Accommodation process

Basic Qualifications: University level Bachelor\'s degree, preferably in a related discipline Previous work experience in Human Resources with an emphasis in labour relations in a unionized environment Minimum FIVE (5) years of progressive experience in the Human Resources/Labour Relations field Proven negotiations and collective agreement interpretation skills Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations including: Ontario Human Rights Code, Employment Standards Act, Labour Relations Act, Occupational H&S Act Ability to interact with all levels of management and represented employees to accomplish goals Demonstrated experience managing a team of direct reports Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree specializing in Industrial Relations Manufacturing experience Excellent written and verbal communications Planning and problem-solving skills Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications
