This position is essential to ensuring that our food service operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with experience in serving, food preparation, scheduling, supervision and cooking. Duties



Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards. Serve food to customers in a friendly and efficient manner. Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas. Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs. Follow proper procedures for storing, labeling, and disposing of food items.

Requirements



Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation. Experience with meal preparation and cooking techniques. Familiarity with various kitchen equipment and tools. Scheduling and cost Control to manage a cafeteria of one of our clients at UBC area. Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Pay: $19.00 per hour

Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:

Cooking: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

Food Handler Certification (required) Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (required)
