Job Overview


We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Manager & Cook who thrives in a fast-paced culinary environment. This key team member will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring that food preparation meets strict standards of safety, efficiency, and quality. With a strong foundation in cooking and food service, the ideal candidate is passionate about delivering exceptional meals and fostering a clean, organized, and collaborative kitchen atmosphere. Your leadership and culinary expertise will be essential in consistently exceeding our customers' expectations and maintaining the high standards that define our establishment.

You are required to work Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 3 PM, with the ability to work weekends as needed.

Duties



Provide strong leadership to kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals. Oversee the preparation of a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines. Assist in the planning of menus, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Help train new kitchen staff on food handling procedures and cooking techniques. Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes and feedback from customers.

Qualifications



10+ years experience in meal preparation or cooking within the food industry. Experience leading a team, with an ability to manage and motivate kitchen staff. Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations (Food Handler's Certificate is required). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends as needed. A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests. Access to a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license is considered an asset.
