Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee our culinary operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service management, with a passion for delivering high-quality dining experiences. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, a commitment to food safety, and the ability to manage kitchen staff effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties



Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and presentation meet our standards. Manage food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining consistency across all menu items. Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and ensure adequate stock levels. Train and develop kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence. Supervise staff performance, providing guidance and support as needed. Conduct interviews and assist in hiring new kitchen personnel. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring all food handling practices are followed. Collaborate with management on budgeting and cost control initiatives. Manage POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) for efficient order processing and cash handling. Ensure proper sanitation practices are followed in all kitchen areas.

Qualifications



Proven experience in kitchen management or a similar role within the food industry. Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary arts. Experience with quick service & fast food restaurants as well as fine dining establishments is preferred. Demonstrated ability in staff training and development, with excellent leadership skills. Familiarity with inventory control processes and budgeting within a restaurant setting. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage guest relations effectively. Experience in supervising teams, shift management, and restaurant operations is essential. Culinary experience along with banquet or catering experience is a plus. Background in hospitality management or hotel experience is advantageous. Pay: From $17.55 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 44 per week
