Kitchen supervisor is responsible of quality control and service of all food production. Working closely with Sous Chef to learn all aspects of kitchen operations in preparation to move up.
Main objectives:
1. Quality control of all food products
2. Training and development of hourly BOH staff
3. Successfully running the line of the Kitchen on the busiest shifts.
Duties
Management:
- Daily management of:
o Line Cooks
o Dishwashers
o Prep Cooks
- Operates as assistant to the Sous Chef and should be able to perform all roles of the Sous Chef in their absence.
o Handling the Line
o Food Production
o Managing of personal
o Daily operations
Staffing/HR:
- Perform reviews with Cooks and dishwashers to monitor development and provide feedback for growth.
- Conduct first interviews for BOH
- Consistent training and development of hourly staff
- Direct, correct and praise the presentation and portioning of prepared dishes according to restaurant standards.
- Actively participate in health and safety initiatives and effectively communicate to all staff.
- Complete food safety audits and act accordingly to ensure your restaurant surpasses health inspector food safety standards.
Service:
- Monthly cleaning audits
- Ensuring AHS compliance
- Ensure the highest level of food safety and hygiene standards are maintained daily.
- Execute the production of catering.
Repairs & Maintenance:
- Oversee equipment cleaning and maintenance schedules.
- What can be fixed by us and what needs to be contracted out
- Ensuring equipment is being taken care of.
Experience Needed
- Mastery of all kitchen operations.
- Expert of safety and sanitation standards and practices.
- Expert ability to solve problems that may arise on various stations.
- Expert in communication with all team members, including FOH.
- Ability to operate all elements of kitchen operations with no supervision.
- Ability to fully run service on the busiest shifts.
- Full-time availability with flexible schedule.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
