We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Kitchen Team Members to join our food service team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while delivering high-quality meals to our clients. Responsibilities
Work independently in preparation of meals according to established Fraser Health Authority approved meal plan and company standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and associated areas, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Handle food items safely and efficiently, adhering to proper food handling procedures.
Various tasks, including chopping, mixing, and cooking ingredients, setting buffets and dining room, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring positive client interactions.
Monitor food quality during preparation and service to ensure high standards are met.
Participate in inventory management by maintaining a clean, and orderly workspace and stock areas.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service during scheduled meal times.
Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for staff and our clients.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety standards. Food Safety or Food Handler certification an asset.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining a positive attitude.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and kitchen operations, and remain open to change and or feedback.
Flexibility to work weekends, and holidays as needed.
