Pastry & Kitchen Prep Assistant with baking experience

to support our pastry chef and assist with sandwich and kitchen preparation.

Position Overview

This role is ideal for someone with

hands-on baking experience

who enjoys working in a fast-paced cafe environment and takes pride in quality, consistency, and presentation.

You will work closely with our pastry chef to prepare baked goods, assist with daily pastry production, and support sandwich and ingredient prep.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the pastry chef with

baking, pastry prep, and plating

Prepare doughs, fillings, creams, and baked items as instructed Assist with sandwich preparation and cold kitchen items Portion, label, and properly store ingredients Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient prep area Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards Support kitchen operations during busy service periods

Requirements (Mandatory)

Previous baking or pastry experience is required

Ability to follow recipes precisely and work with measurements Strong attention to detail and cleanliness Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Food safety certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain)

Pay: $15.00-$27.00 per hour
