Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
Manage food preparation and cooking processes to maintain consistency and efficiency.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment.
Handle inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
Implement and maintain effective cash handling procedures within the kitchen.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for kitchen personnel.
Develop menus that reflect seasonal ingredients while meeting customer preferences.
Foster a positive team atmosphere that encourages collaboration and professional growth.
Qualifications
Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling practices.
Familiarity with POS systems, preferably Micros POS, for efficient order processing.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene standards.
Previous experience in hospitality settings such as hotels or cafes is preferred.
