Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and restaurant management, ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen activities, maintaining high standards of food safety, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires a blend of culinary skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for the food industry.

Responsibilities



Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring quality food preparation and presentation. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste. Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure high performance. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to provide excellent customer service. Conduct interviews and hire new kitchen team members as needed. Develop and implement menu items that align with customer preferences and seasonal availability. Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, including Micros POS. Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and growth.

Skills



Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant environment. Strong supervisory experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems, particularly Micros POS. Leadership qualities that inspire and motivate team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in interviewing potential candidates for kitchen positions.
