Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Manage and train kitchen staff, including conducting interviews and making hiring decisions
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and specials
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Handle customer complaints or concerns regarding food quality or service
- Implement and enforce proper food handling and sanitation procedures

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role in a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on providing a positive dining experience
- Proficient in cash handling procedures and basic financial management
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a kitchen environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Skills:
- Interviewing: Conducting interviews to assess candidates' qualifications for kitchen staff positions.
- Supervising: Overseeing the work of kitchen staff, providing guidance, feedback, and training as needed.
- Cook: Demonstrating proficiency in cooking techniques and preparing a variety of dishes.
- Hospitality: Providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Customer service: Resolving customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Food preparation: Preparing ingredients, following recipes, and ensuring food is cooked to the appropriate standards.
- Leadership: Leading by example, motivating staff, and making decisions that benefit the team.
- Restaurant management: Managing all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, inventory control, and customer satisfaction.
