Job Summary


The Kitchen Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation and service. This position requires strong leadership skills to manage kitchen staff effectively while maintaining a focus on food safety and quality. The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for creating a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities



Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training in food preparation and cooking techniques. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and controlling food costs. Oversee the preparation of meals, ensuring consistency and quality in all dishes served. Implement and maintain operational procedures for the kitchen, including cash handling and POS systems. Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new kitchen staff. Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging open communication among staff members. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests.

Skills



Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations. Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred. Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on enhancing guest satisfaction. Background in restaurant management or kitchen management is highly desirable. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact with staff, customers, and vendors effectively. Familiarity with cash handling procedures within a restaurant environment. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the food industry and possess strong leadership qualities to drive success in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
