Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Kitchen Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and possess strong leadership skills to oversee kitchen operations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food preparation activities
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of supplies
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures
- Train and mentor kitchen employees on proper cooking techniques
- Monitor food quality and presentation
- Collaborate with restaurant management to create menus and specials
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any kitchen-related issues
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Knowledge of food handling, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with POS systems is a plus
- Familiarity with interviewing and hiring kitchen staff
