Leopard is a sourdough pizza restaurant in the west end. We are looking to hire a Kitchen Manager to lead our small kitchen team.
Average: 40 hours/week - mixture of administration, prep work and working on the line.
KITCHEN OPERATIONS:
Food menu, in conjunction with the owners
Managing inventory levels & ordering product
Executing inventory counts monthly to obtain food COG
Planning & executing prep
Overseeing training of all kitchen staff
Planning & executing cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen: walk-ins, stoves, freezers, storage, coolers, etc.
Costing out menu
HUMAN RESOURCES:
Oversee hiring & firing and performance management of all back of house staff
Create & manage the schedules, posting in a timely fashion, planning staffing appropriately for seasonal changes, scheduling to avoid unnecessary overtime
Oversee training of back of house staff
Staff reviews on a yearly basis, plus regular and consistent check-ins with staff
ADMINISTRATION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Due backs
Tracking of weekly labor to obtain labor percentage
Weekly meetings with Operation Manager and owner
Regular team meetings
Maintain good communication and working relationship with FOH manager
Two years minimum experience managing people, doing orders and inventory. Previous experience with baking bread and sourdough a huge asset. Previous experience working in a pizza operation is also an asset.
The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic, good communicator, reliable and takes initiative. We are looking for someone who is passionate about quality food and knowledgeable about the food scene in Edmonton and beyond. Connections to local suppliers are an asset.

Pay: $47,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
