As a Kitchen Helper, you will support kitchen staff by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with prep work, dough making, and ensuring smooth kitchen workflows.

Duties



Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, and organizing ingredients to ensure efficient meal assembly Support cooking processes, including basic cooking tasks and dough preparation Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by washing dishes, sanitizing work surfaces, and disposing of waste properly Handle food safely by following proper storage procedures and adhering to food safety standards Support food service operations by restocking supplies and ensuring all stations are ready for service Follow all health regulations related to food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols

Skills



Basic cooking skills with a willingness to learn new techniques in a fast-paced environment Strong knife skills for chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients efficiently and safely Experience in meal preparation and food handling within a restaurant or catering setting preferred Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices in commercial kitchens Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy kitchen environment Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously during peak hours Familiarity with the food industry terminology and culinary processes is an advantage Excellent attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met consistently Prior restaurant or kitchen experience enhances your ability to adapt quickly and perform confidently

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 12 per week
