As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to our established recipes and standards. You will work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to maintain an efficient and organized kitchen.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, following recipes and presentation specifications.
Ensure all food handling and preparation meets food safety standards.
Assist in the planning of menus and daily specials, considering seasonal ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen is preferred.
Knowledge of food handling, food safety practices, and meal preparation techniques is essential.
Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures within the food industry.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a team-oriented environment.
A passion for cooking and creativity in meal presentation is highly valued.
