We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in providing high-quality food service. This role is vital in ensuring smooth kitchen operations, maintaining food safety standards, and assisting with meal preparation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food handling and a willingness to learn about the food industry in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Assist with food preparation and cooking under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
Support food service operations by setting up workstations and organizing ingredients
Handle food items safely, following proper food safety protocols and hygiene standards
Serve dishes to customers or assist with plating and presentation as needed
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying staff of stock levels
Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff
Experience
Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not required
Familiarity with food handling, meal preparation, and basic cooking techniques is advantageous
Experience in the food industry or related roles demonstrates a strong understanding of food safety practices
No formal experience necessary; training will be provided for all essential duties
A positive attitude and eagerness to learn about culinary operations are highly valued
