Join Our Team as a Kitchen Cleaner & Helper!

This is a flexible part-time role (estimated 12-17 hours per week)

We're looking for a dependable and detail-oriented team member to support our kitchen cleanliness operations. This role plays an important part in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and keeping our kitchen safe and well-organized behind the scenes.

The role is ideal for someone who enjoys cleaning & routine work, working independently, takes pride in high standards, and notices what needs to be done without being asked. Your work directly supports food safety, kitchen standards, and the quality of service we deliver to our clients.

For the right person, there may be opportunities to support with additional tasks over time, such as helping with deliveries or other operational support.

Fresh in your Fridge is a holistic private chef service in Vancouver BC Canada.We're a proudly Canadian and woman-owned small (and growing) business that leads with a people centered approach and a fun, supportive, hands on work culture!

We are a team of 13 that operate out of our facility in East Vancouver, including a small management team, chefs, and support team. We care deeply about our private chef clients, and cook nutritious + custom meals for them on a weekly basis. Our ethos revolves around environmental consciousness and wellness. We adhere to low-impact, low-waste practices, opting for reusable glassware containers and mindful sourcing during grocery shopping.

What You'll Be Doing

Deep cleaning the kitchen facility, including shutting down and cleaning the dishwasher, sweeping and mopping floors, and sanitizing work areas Completing weekly and monthly deep-clean tasks (e.g., hood vents, racks, rolling equipment, and storage areas) Collecting, washing, sanitizing, and organizing reusable glass food containers as part of our zero-waste system, ensuring all containers meet cleanliness and food-safety standards. Supporting inventory counts and maintaining organized storage areas Restocking and organizing cleaning and sanitation supplies

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a kitchen environment and/or professional cleaning Takes pride in doing cleaning work properly and maintaining high standards for cleanliness, organization, and food safety Strong work ethic, you're used to staying active on shift and keeping things moving Positive, dependable, can-do attitude, we believe in "find a need and fill it" Detail-oriented and consistent, you care about things being done thoroughly, not just quickly Comfortable communicating with kitchen staff and asking questions when needed Fluent in English Legally authorized to work in Canada

Nice to have

Receiving experience Availability on Fridays (for backup coverage in case our usual staff is away).

Availability Required

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday Approximately 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM per shift 12-17 hours per week, with potential to grow
