Overview


We are seeking a skilled and passionate Kitchen Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of japanese foods preparation, food safety, and kitchen management. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. The Sushi Chef will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Duties



Prepare and present sushi dishes with precision and artistry, ensuring high-quality standards. Oversee food production processes, including menu planning and inventory management. Manage kitchen operations, including supervising staff and coordinating with the culinary team. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen. Assist in training new kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and food handling practices. Collaborate with the management team to develop seasonal menus that highlight fresh ingredients. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and responding to special requests or dietary needs.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Japanese restaurant chef or in a similar culinary role within the food industry. Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sushi techniques, and food preparation methods. Experience in fine dining establishments is highly desirable. Background in restaurant management or food service management is a plus. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management and shift management. Familiarity with inventory control systems and food production processes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff and guests. A commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene practices. Pay: $18.23-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
