Our team is led by chefs with over 25 years of expertise in both traditional and modern Japanese cuisine. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Kitchen Chef to join our growing team and contribute to delivering a world-class dining experience.
Responsibilities:
Support the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation and service execution
Assist in menu planning and contribute to the creation of seasonal dishes that reflect Japanese culinary techniques
Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff to ensure consistent quality and teamwork
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness at all times
Oversee inventory management, monitor ingredient levels, and implement strategies to minimize waste
Ensure consistency and excellence in food presentation and taste across all dishes
Requirements: Minimum of 3 years professional cooking experience, ideally in a mid to high-end restaurant Familiarity with Japanese ingredients and cooking methods is a strong asset Strong leadership and organizational skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment Passion for culinary excellence and continuous improvement Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a high-performing team
Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
Toronto, ON M5H 3S5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Licence/Certification:
Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
