Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to support our team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about food service and eager to gain experience in a fast-paced kitchen setting. The Kitchen Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and assisting with food preparation, cleanliness, and overall kitchen maintenance. Our menu specializes in breakfast options, sandwiches, wraps and salads. Catering experience is a plus! Must be available Monday through Friday between 9:00 am- 2:00 pm. Duties include prep, preparing menu items during rush, catering prep and cleaning.

Duties

Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including countertops, equipment, and utensils Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen tools promptly and efficiently Restock supplies such as utensils, ingredients, and cleaning materials as needed Dispose of waste properly and ensure the kitchen remains sanitary at all times Support the culinary team during meal service by providing necessary assistance as directed Follow safety protocols and proper sanitation procedures to uphold health standards

Skills

Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred but not required; training will be provided Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Good communication skills and willingness to follow instructions from chefs or supervisors Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks such as washing dishes or preparing ingredients A positive attitude, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.50-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
