Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will support the kitchen staff in food preparation and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role is essential for ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our dining experience.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, and preparing food items. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen by washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Support chefs and cooks during meal service by providing necessary utensils and ingredients. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure that all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of any shortages. Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setting up workstations and assisting with menu planning as needed.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team. Basic understanding of food safety practices is a plus. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving supplies. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
