Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and hands on kitchen team member who can assist the chef with food prep, take charge of packaging, and maintain overall kitchen organization. While there is another assistant on the team, this role requires someone who can lead the packaging process, direct workflow, and ensure the kitchen runs smoothly on operating days.

This is a responsibility focused role. You will be expected to take ownership of packing accuracy, cleanliness, and coordination with the chef.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the chef with food prepping and marination Prepare ingredient indent and coordinate prep requirements with the chef Lead and manage the food packaging process according to daily orders Direct and guide the packaging assistant to ensure speed and accuracy Ensure orders are packed correctly based on meal plans and labels Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, and hygiene standards Oversee storage, labeling, and proper handling of food items Conduct sorting of orders and prep for delivery days Take charge of deep cleaning tasks on scheduled days
Work Schedule

We operate five days a week:

Friday: Marination and light prep only Saturday: Main cooking and packaging day (longer hours required) Sunday: Marination and order sorting Monday: Main cooking and packaging day (longer hours required) Tuesday: Order sorting and full kitchen deep cleaning
Marination days are shorter, while cooking and packaging days require longer working hours and higher responsibility.

Who This Role Is For

Someone comfortable taking charge and directing others Organized, detail oriented, and clean in their work Experience in commercial kitchens or meal prep is a plus Able to work efficiently under pressure on busy days Physically able to stand, move, lift, and work in a fast paced kitchen Reliable and consistent with attendance

Pay: $17.75 per hour
