Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our bakers and decorators in preparing and presenting baked goods and platters. This role involves assisting with baking tasks, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring products meet our quality and food safety standards. A passion for baking, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work well in a team are key.

Duties

Assist bakers in preparing and baking breads, cakes, pastries, and Helping the Head baker. Help with cake and platter decoration under the direction of the decorator or management. Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients as required. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, following food safety regulations. Package finished products for display or delivery, ensuring they look appealing. Monitor and restock supplies as needed. Support the team during busy periods and special orders.

Requirements

Previous experience in a bakery, restaurant, or kitchen setting is an asset but not required. Basic knowledge of baking and food handling practices. Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn new skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays when needed. Passion for baking and interest in developing decorating skills. Weekend availability is a must and has to be available during weekdays as well during morning hours.
