We are currently seeking a Part Time Kitchen Aide to assist in the preparation of our meals for our Adult Day Programs, Meals On Wheels, and frozen meals.

HOURS OF WORK:

Part Time (23 hours per week, Monday and Wednesday - Thursday 10-2:30, and Tuesday 9:30 - 2:30)

SUMMARY:

The kitchen aide assists the head cook in the delivery of the food services program and provides support to the coordination of the Hot and Frozen meal programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Physical ability to manage the requirements; heavy lifting, working in heat and humidity. Experience doing quantity cooking (willing to train right candidate) Working knowledge of special dietary needs including but not limited to: diabetic, low- salt, low-fat, Celiac, puree. 1-2 years' work experience in a commercial kitchen would be considered an asset. Certificate in Safe Food Handling. Possession of Food Service Worker Certificate an asset.
