Job Description

The Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87 invites applications for the position of seasonal

Snow Maker. Successful candidates will be responsible for operating snow making equipment safely and efficiently while creating high quality snow for Kinosoo Ridge Resort.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Operate snow making equipment (fan guns, high pressure hoses, injection pumps, UTV's, snowmobiles, hand tools) in a safe and responsible manner. Complete pre-operational checklists and inspections for all equipment and tools. Record maintenance and keep accurate log sheets on snow guns and pumps. Perform light duty equipment maintenance. Monitor weather conditions continuously and adjust snow making equipment as required. Start, monitor, adjust, and stop snow guns as required. Layout, connect and charge hoses (set up/rig in). Discharge, disconnect, thaw, drain, and roll hoses (tear down/rig out). Perform snow removal, snow farming, snow fence installation and maintenance. Assist in tasks associated with the setup of the ski hill for the winter season. Recognize, document, and report hazards (current or potential) to the operations team and assist in the removal/correction action as required. Perform other related duties within the scope of the position as required.

Qualifications:

Previous experience with snow making and terrain building will be considered an asset. First Aid training - CSPS or EMR level will be considered an asset. Ongoing commitment to safety. Strong attention to detail. Mature, energetic, dependable, punctual, reliable, and self-motivated. Excellent communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently and diligently as part of a team or independently with minimal supervision. Ability to operate snowmobiles and UTV's in a controlled and safe manner. Mechanical aptitude and a basic understanding of tools and equipment. Will be required to work weeknights, weekends, and holidays. Obtain a Criminal Record Check. Class 5 driver's license in good standing.
