Ski & Snowboard Instructor

The Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87 invites applications for the position of seasonal

Ski & Snowboard Instructor. Successful candidates will be responsible for teaching guests of all ages and abilities to improve their skiing and/or snowboarding skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Instruct guests of all ages and abilities according to CASI/CSIA standards to help improve their skiing and/or snowboarding skills. Teach private and group lessons. Assist with the organization of school group lessons and camps. Participate in weekly training as a department to ensure quality instruction. Ensure public and personal safety when using all ski lifts. Perform general labour and maintenance tasks on the ski hill as required. Assist customers in the rental area as required. Adhere to the Alpine Responsibility Code. Perform other related duties within the scope of the position as required.

Qualifications:

CSIA/CASI certification or international equivalent. CADS experience or certification will be considered an asset. Mature, energetic, dependable, punctual, reliable, and self-motivated. First Aid training will be considered an asset. Ability to work in a team environment. Maintain a personable and positive attitude when assisting customers. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work with people of all ages and skill levels. Ability to perform job tasks in a safe and efficient manner. Professional attitude and ability to maintain confidentiality. Obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check. Will be required to work weeknights, weekends, and holidays. Class 5 driver's license will be considered and asset.
