Motiva Physiotherapy Studio is anticipating an upcoming entry-level position opening for a kinesiologist. New grads welcome to apply! Motiva provides mentorship, education, and training for kinesiologists who have an interest in physiotherapy and physical rehabilitation.

Description:

This position is projected to be 50% administrative/back-end work and 50% clinical work with patients.

For clinical work, kinesiologists at Motiva Physio are integrated into the delivery of physiotherapy, working with every client at all stages of their recovery as a team with the physiotherapist and other kinesiologists. Kinesiologists at Motiva Physio do not work alone -- instead, our model is collaborative care with physio and other kinesiologists to facilitate teamwork, education, and improved patient experience.

Guidance and training will be provided in sports and orthopaedic conditions, rehab protocols, and physical therapy methodology, followed by ongoing support through working as a team with the physiotherapist and the Director of Care. Training is also provided in administration, customer service, and funding models. Mentorship and support are provided for candidates who are planning or considering a future career in physiotherapy; this position is ideal for candidates with an interest in this area. This opening is to fill the anticipated vacancy of a kinesiologist who will depart to start physio school.

Requirements:

Must have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in Human Kinetics, Kinesiology, or Exercise Science. Job seekers without this prerequisite should not apply.

Related experience is not a strict requirement if a candidate has sound knowledge anatomy and exercise physiology to be the foundation for further training. Must be willing to self-study to fill identified gaps in knowledge.
